Ayrshire Food an' a That is the regional food group for Ayrshire and was founded in October 2020 in collaboration with, and overseen by, Ayrshire Food Network.
Ayrshire has a rich culture of food and drink and we want to tell the world about it! The group helps to identify and promote new opportunities for food and drink in Ayrshire through a number of avenues including collaboration, the Circular Economy, Innovation and Sustainability. We want to facilitate more local food on local plates and have been pivotal in the creation of a new online Food and Drink directory bringing food producers and suppliers together with commercial buyers.
The defined role and purpose of the Ayrshire Food an' a That Group is to: facilitate, plan and deliver projects such as increasing consumption and supply of local produce; upskilling food and drink businesses; hosting events; improving digital developments and e-commerce with local companies and, crucially, developing food and drink tourism.
