Ayrshire Connect
Ayrshire's towns and villages offer some of the best independent retail experiences, including wonderful craft and gift shops, stores with the finest Scottish food and drink, and superb boutiques. Outlets can also be found across Ayrshire, ensuring all shopping needs are met.
Then there're the cafes, pubs, restaurants and hotels who have suffered massively throughout the pandemic with the loss of visitors to the county.
There is no doubt that the Internet has its place, but so does shopping locally and supporting businesses that make each one of our towns and villages that bit more unique.
Ayrshire 365, is a "bricks and mortar" concept - it's about encouraging locals and visitors to get onto the high street and walk through doors into real bricks and mortar shopping, and forego the "virtual" a little more often.
Shopping in Irvine is easy with several supermarkets and shopping outlets that can be found within the town. The Rivergate Shopping Centre, located directly across from the train station, offers a mix of both independent and major retail stores including Primark, New Look, Superdrug, Boots and Wilko, plus many more.
Irvine hosts many independent retailers such as florists, gift shops, bridal boutiques, salons, dessert shops, cafes and more!
Free parking is available for up to 4 hours at the Rivergate Asda, which is less than a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Alternatively Harbour Road car park offers free all day parking with only a 15 minute walk to the town centre.
