Situated in the most gorgeous location overlooking Holy Isle, The Pierhead Tavern has gained a reputation for fabulous food, great beer, friendly service and amazing music. It is a warm welcoming, family run business seating up to 80 customers inside plus the modern designed roof terrace, with stunning views which can seat 40. We welcome families and larger groups and cater for bespoke parties and weddings. Our standard bar menu covers the classics with a range of seafood & vegetarian dishes.

Our delicious menu of homecooked food includes seasonal favourites using locally sourced products to give a Taste of Arran and our chef's own products Arran Artisan foods. We try to provide something for everyone on our menu but our dishes always have our own unique quality and we hope you will not be disappointed. As the family are vegan/vegetarian we are always keen to showcase our delicious choices. We are happy to cater for specific diets/requirements with prior notice and can offer takeaway plus off sales before 10pm We have a wide range of Gin & Whisky and of course we are always happy to provide you with a bespoke tasting experience. Real ale is a personal passion and we source beer carefully from the most amazing Scottish Brewers and offer quality cask ale & a huge range of bottles. Music of all genres can usually be found @ThePHTArran and we welcome original artists. Watch out for our dinner/music packages which allow you to listen to accomplished performers whilst you dine. In normal times, we welcome musicians who wish to play and have instruments in house. We also have a large screen projector and we show international games & can host film shows. Well behaved children & dogs (in the bar area only) are welcome but booking is essential as we operate as a restaurant and can get very busy. We have the capacity to host larger parties and can prepare bespoke menus to suit. In addition we do take wedding parties, offering a casual experience within a cosy setting.
